I've updated CVS with a change to bcharge and the udev scripts
to do this automatically.

This works for about an hour or so, and then there must be a setting
somewhere on my system that I don't know about, because it eventually
does go back to power saving mode, and "cat state" returns 2.

This can be fixed by just replugging the device, but it's a bit of
a pain.

The ideal fix is likely the kernel patches, but I haven't looked
into them too closely yet.
