thanks for the exciting reply.  Just wanted to be clear as I already have
opensync installed (via rpm);
libopensync-0.22-3.fc7
libopensync-plugin-evolution2-devel-0.22-2.fc7
libopensync-plugin-evolution2-0.22-2.fc7
libopensync-devel-0.22-3.fc7

Did all the kitchensync depencies, etc. and got that part complete.
kitchensync starts, and when I say select group, evo appears.  I assume that
I need to do what you mentioned below to have barry appear in that group
list?

As it stands, I have barry in the /home/lance/barry folder, and under that
folder there is an opensync-plugin fodler.  Inside the readme  it simply has
the normal install (config, make, etc) which I did, but nothing jumped out
to say, Hi Sync Now with the USB, so I am guessing that is what the re-do by
a tarball would help with as kitchesync has no 'config', I guess it looks at
the opensync.

Or... I am just really lost  :(
