Here is my report back, I got everything compiled. I installed all the packages, I ran a udevcontrol reload_rules to get the blackberry rules to be effective without a restart.
It looks like bcharge is working but btool won't see the phone. I have a blackberry 8130 from Verizon. So once I see the phone, how to I get it to sync up with evolution. I have the opensync evolution plugins installed. Thanks Nathan
