That's true, the usb_storage issue is a known bug.  What I found interesting
about his report was that such similar systems (both Debian sid, just
one 32bit and one 64bit I think) had different results.  Perhaps it is
the usb_storage module, but he didn't mention it.

I'm waiting for my 8120 to recharge (I accidentally left the camera on
all night), and then I'll try to reproduce his issue.  In my tests,
usb_storage has to be in an actual copy operation before the device
resets itself, and if it does reset, it is on the first usb_close()
during the probe stage.  Btool doesn't usually get to finish its whole
run before the device resets.

Oh well, more information is always helpful in tracking down these hard
bugs.  Thanks for your response.
