Yes, btool isn't coded especially gracefully in this spot, but it is
a useful tactic to create a zero byte file and "save" from it, if you
need a quick way to delete all records from a certain database. :-)

I haven't concentrated on Email backup, since this is in theory stored on
RIM's servers anyway, and depending on the amount of email someone has,
could take a very long time to transfer all that email over the air.
Therefore, while backup to mbox format should be possible, the restore
might have issues, and I don't recommend it anyway.

Your report is good to know though.  Did you try re-plugging the device
when you got the above size error?
