Error -19 is "no such device" and is likely being caused when the device
reboots itself.

When it reboots under pppob, does it reboot right away? Or can you use
the internet for a bit before it goes away?

It is my opinion that a Blackberry should never reboot based on what is
sent over the USB port, and if it does, it is a bug in the firmware. :-)

That doesn't really help you though. My suggestions would be:

        1) Check to see if there is a firmware upgrade for your device.
Maybe this has been fixed by RIM.

        2) Turn on detailed logging with 'barrybackup -d' and post the
last few pages of output. No guarantee that I'll be able
to fix it, but maybe we can track down what is causing the
                reboot.

        3) Limit your restores to only the databases you need. I've had
similar problems during restore on the 8120, but if I only
restore, for example, Contacts and Calendar, then it
                works fairly well.
