Hi James,

Sorry for the delay. I've been working on a mailing list backlog for a while.

As for evolution and doing backups, this should have no affect. The
barrybackup program does not use opensync, or evolution, to do its backups.

Please make sure you have the barry-util package installed, and try the
following commands:

        lsusb -v
Check whether your device is at 500mA for power

Do some checks on your system:

        lsmod | grep berry
If the module "berry_charge" appears, this needs to be fixed.

        lsmod | grep storage
If the module "usb_storage appears, this may be part of the
                problem.

If you have an option when plugging in your device, as to whether you want
to mount the Mass Storage drive, say no.

Then try:

        btool -l
This should list the device and pin

        btool -t
                This should list the databases

        btool -d "Address Book"
This should output all your contacts

        btool -d "Address Book" -r 1
This should output the first contact

If you get packet errors from any of these commands, please paste the
exact error to the list.

Timeouts indicate something fundamental is wrong, so No guarantees that
we can get it working on your system, but let's take it one step at a time.

That's ok. Please be sure to reply to the list, so the discussion can
help others as well.

Thanks,
- Chris
