I'm beginning to be convinced that there's either an issue with the Bold or with Ubuntu. I've made all recommended modifications to files, updated firmware on the Bold, etc...
The Bold connects with Windows, but I use the AT&T Comm Mgr which gives me no information about the connection. On Linux, it connects and then disconnects after getting no IP address from the provider. In fact, I don't think it worked with Intrepid on any kernel newer than the 2.6.27-6 release.
