The last official release of OpenSync is 0.22.
The others release are some intermediate release before the 0.4x.
The OpenSync API evolves a lot of !
Now it begins to be stable !

If you want use Barry to sync your mobile, you have to work with
opensync 0.22.

Nevertheless, you can use the current development of OpenSync from SVN.
(so you can't find the package for your distribution !)
In this case, you have to work with Barry from GIT (and use
opensync-plugin-0.4x)
