Hi Chris,

What libxml do you whish use to parse the ".alx" files ?

I think to use libxml++ :

Paquet : libxml++2.6-2
Nouveau: oui
État: non installé
Version : 2.26.0-1
Priorité : optionnel
Section : libs
Responsable : Deng Xiyue <manphiz-gu...@users.alioth.debian.org>
Taille décompressée : 246k
Dépend: libc6 (>= 2.1.3), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1), libglib2.0-0 (>=
2.12.0), libglibmm-2.4-1c2a (>=
         2.19.8), libsigc++-2.0-0c2a (>= 2.0.2), libstdc++6 (>= 4.2.1),
libxml2 (>= 2.6.27)
Remplace: libxml++2.6c2a
Description : A C++ interface to the GNOME XML library (libxml2)
 libxml++ is a C++ wrapper for the libxml2 XML parser library (otherwise
known as the GNOME XML
 library). It has SAX and DOM-like APIs, but does not attempt to
conform exactly to the DOM
 specification because they are not aimed at C++. Its API is much
simpler than the underlying libxml
 C API.

Only tools will be linked to this library.

Regards,
