To my knowledge it hasn't been attempted before. With that said, it should be relatively easy to do. The usbclient desktop app that comes with the JDE sets up it's own "channel" much like bjavaloader and btool do in barry.
In theory you could create your own class that extends Barry::Mode that acts just like the USBClient sample app from the JDE.
