Yes, that's to be expected, since Barry on Fedora has historically relied on ConsoleKit to make things Just Work (tm). udev rules have totally skipped the job. You could create a plugdev group, add yourself to it, and copy over the Debian version of the rules, and things would likely work, with little tweaking. I spent a lot of time today going through Fedora 11's HAL and PolicyKit configuration, trying to make it work. I found out that HAL is deprecated now... in favour of udev and DeviceKit... but this will apparently happen over time. Fedora 11 seems to have udev, ConsoleKit, PolicyKit, HAL, and DeviceKit. I haven't figured out yet what the right path is to take. I started a thread on the devkit-devel list in case you want to follow it: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/devkit-devel/2009-June/000247.html - Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Barry-devel mailing list Barry-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/barry-devel
