Reading http://na.blackberry.com/eng/legal/trademarks.jsp shows that
they are most worried about people thinking that a product comes from
RIM when it does not.  Since Barry does not come from RIM, I'm still
a bit hesitant to use it in the logo, although I do see your point
that there needs to be some flexibility when describing functionality.

According to that page, it almost sounds like "Barry: Open Source
Data Access for the BlackBerry(R) Smartphone" might be acceptable.
It still gives me the jitters though. :-)

The icon on white background is probably my favourite.

I hope I have a flash of inspiration for a "BlackBerry" free slogan. :-)
