Do you have any more details on that?  Were there error messages from
Funambol or Barry?

Barry uses the USB port to talk to the Blackberry, and while it is using
that port for database or javaloader or modem access, no other program
can use it at that time.  If you're not actually using one of the Barry
programs, then there is no conflict.

Barry also hooks into udev to run bcharge to enable battery charging via
USB.  This runs up to two times as soon as you plug in your device, but
then gets out of the way.

Basically, if you're not actually running one of the Barry programs,
just having it installed should not interfere with anything.

Depends on how you installed it.  If you used a binary package, use the
package manager for your distro to uninstall.
