If I may put in my $.02 worth.

I don't know if it's my lcd or my ageing eyes but on first glance the berry looks like of blue blob and it's only on closer inspection that I can tell that it's a berry. You may also want to make the green leaves a bit larger as well. I think there needs to be more contrast in the berry itself and the background needs lightening up as well. It all looks too dark with the black and the blue. The thumbnails are just dark blue shadows of a berry no matter how close I get to the screen.

Maybe it's just my eyes but I have no problem identifying the similar sized thunderbird thumbnail on my tool bar.

Martin, kudos to you for taking this on. Far be it for me to criticize, I just thought you might like to know.

Cheers.

OK so this is a modified version with some examples of a 32px and 16pc

Martin:

Thanks... the URL at the bottom is good.

I don't see the halo... it's probably my monitor here... I'll try viewing
it on a different machine. :-)

You (all, not you Martin) should ask tango desktop project[1]. There
are a lot of very skilled people there, and they ensure that the icon
is going to be seen well both in Gnome and KDE.

Thanks José.

Martin: They appear to have mailing lists:

        http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/tango-artists

Want to contact them, CC barry-devel, and see what they say?

Thanks,
- Chris
