I have just tried BlackBerry Media Sync. It's a RIM's implementation. So it works like "Desktop", "Javaloader"... Obviously, only the BlackBerry Storm supports MTP feature. But, even in replaying the USB logs from USBsnoop, I don't success to tchat with my device ; whereas I have the same traces (compared with usbmon) that with Windows Media Player :( If I find time, I try to understand why I have this issue... About BlackBerry Media Sync, we should write a plugin for the applications Rythmbox, Banshee...
