If I clear the DB in my BBerry, and use the --conflict 1 (evolution
authoritative),  Is this not removing the conflict resolution process
completely?

My goal is to do a one-way sync to restore my BBerry, so if I can
somehow skip the conflict resolution, and this issue, that would be
great.

I'll use the trick you mentioned to wipe the DB completely (maybe
looking empty and being empty affect the conflict resolution code
differently) experiment further with OSYNC_TRACE and check msynctool for
options to disable the conflict resolution process completely (thought I
had that covered)
