This is great news. If you have it running in Windows, it should be possible to do it in Linux as well. > P.S. When I try to run Barry Backup I also get an error. > > (-1, error sending control message: Operation not permitted): Probe: > GetConfiguration failed I believe this is the cause of both problems. Since you seem to be installing from the binary package, the permissions on the device should be already set correctly. But your own user account may not be in the plugdev or dialout groups. Run the following command at the command line: groups For example, I get the following: [cdfrey]$ groups cdfrey dialout cdrom floppy tape audio src video plugdev fuse barry Keep changing the groups on your account and testing until you can run a command like 'bidentify' or 'btool -l' successfully without error, and it shows your device. Then try backup and modem. - Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Return on Information: Google Enterprise Search pays you back Get the facts. http://p.sf.net/sfu/google-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Barry-devel mailing list Barry-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/barry-devel
