Hi Tobias,

On Ubuntu, the permissions are handled by setting the device to
the "plugdev" group.  So make sure that your user is a member of
"plugdev".

Also, just to double check, run the 'lsusb' command to make sure
that your particular VendorID and ProductID combinations are recognized.

In version 0.16, the udev rules recognize:

        VendorID: 0fca
        ProductIDs: 0001, 0004, 0006, 8004, 8007

The rules are in /etc/udev/rules.d/99-blackberry-perms.rules and
/etc/udev/rules.d/10-blackberry.rules
