I have been able to do a firmware backup, full wipe, and firmware restore on the Storm using bjavaloader. So if you have the right COD files, it is possible. When I did it, I did not care about my data, I was just playing with the firmware side. If you try it, make sure you are able to backup and restore the data you care about. I also tried a firmware install using the set of COD files found on a Windows machine, that you get when you install one of the Blackberry firmware packages. But oddly the themes were a bit strange. I'm not sure what the issue was. Maybe the firmware packages are missing some themes that come with the provider? This deserves more investigation. In the end, I was quite happy being able to restore a device's firmware to a known state, using only Linux and Barry. - Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Barry-devel mailing list Barry-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/barry-devel
