This is my 2nd attempt to upgrade to 110 on Natty. It seems that the auto-configuration portion of the installer doesn't like something on my system.
I have 2 servers currently running baruwa 102. Using mysql replication and round-robin dns. I upgraded them both to natty, and am currently using one for testing the upgrade. The current machine "WAS" working fine, until the upgrade. Now it seems I am patching and having to go back and fix some of the installers mess-ups. 1. It did not like my /etc/MailScanner symlink. Mailscanner was installed in /opt - I removed the symlink and the installer continued. 2. Next mailscanner would not start. I had to manually create a symlink from MailScanner -> MailScanner-4.83.4-1 in /opt 3. I have edited baruwa.conf and changed the mysql server from 'spam01' to 'localhost' - but that seems not to have taken affect. " Baruwa Settings conn init failue: Unknown MySQL server host 'spam01' (1) at /etc/MailScanner/CustomFunctions/BaruwaUserSettings.pm line 71 " 4. Seems my symlinking messed some things up, or did it ? I thought /etc/mailscanner was supposed to be symlinked to /opt/MailScanner (according to my init file ) root@hera/etc/MailScanner/conf.d $ pwd; grep "DSN" baruwa.conf ; grep "DSN" /opt/MailScanner/etc/conf.d/baruwa.conf.dpkg-new /etc/MailScanner/conf.d DB DSN = DBI:mysql:database=baruwa;host=localhost;port=3306 DB DSN = DBI:mysql:database=baruwa;host=spam01;port=3306 Now I have 2 baruwa.conf files.
