just FYI Andrew, I would look at Exchange 2010 more than exchange 2003, this is due to peoples going away from exchange 2003.... and as you know exchange 2010 is different than 2003 and it uses the powershell (which is good from scripting)... in case you change your mind I'm offering you the whole infrastructure where you can have the last breed of system versions you want.
BTW: do you plan users to have a button (train/tag as spam/ham) like in outlook 2003/2007/2010 that would forward the action to baruwa ?
