I'm going to backtrack on this one.

Whats your average daily messages? - You can average it by looking at the
baruwa interface, set your date range for a 24 hour period
How many messages are in your current db? - Just remove the default filter on
Reports tab. .. Message count ---- >

Are you running the baruwa cron job to clean messages?

1 and 1's dynamic servers means your shared pool. If your load is heavy, you
may want to look to upping the amount of ram on the vm.

Baruwa is running VERY slow on teh web interface side of things, i can only
assume its the accessing teh sql that is causing teh problems.

1) how do i reduce the quarintine period so that we are not storing so many
emails (need to do this anyway only want one month)

2) how do i speed up sql/web interface as its usage is stupidly slow....

P.S. i'm not a linux guy, the guy who set this up has run off and i'm
picking up teh peices, i'm fairly competant but not amazing. so be kind....
