[Baruwa] MTA Questions

I have only used Postfix in the past with MailScanners, but see in the 
baruwa install its all about Exim. Just curious if it is safe to use the 
Ubuntu distro package or install by source?? Also, are the posted 
MailScanner and Exim configs pretty much ready to go for basic operation??
