I'm not familiar with 'transceiver', just a general approach: Whenever I see a program just aborted like this, one way to find out why is gdb. Maybe this can give a hint on where in the code it aborted: gdb -ex run --args ./transceiver -e 1 -2 -a 47 -r 99 it helps when the program is built with debug symbols enabled. when you know which place in the code bailed out it might give hints on the cause and/or how to work around it, when you're lucky. ~N
