Hello,
There is a really strange behaviour in Array LIMS -> Plates -> Merge 96-wells->384-wells.
The idea is to merge four differents 96-wells plates into one 384-wells plate.
In our lab we have decided to put the first 96-wells plate on the top left of the 384-wells plate.
The second 96-wells plate is on the bottom left, the third on the top right and the fourth on the bottom right.
So, the coordinates are translated into:
96wellsPlateNumber: Position: PositionIn384wellsPlate:
1 A1 A1
2 A1 I1
3 A1 A13
4 A1 I13
The problem is that BASE makes a strange conversion of the positions:
96wellsPlateNumber: Position: PositionIn384wellsPlate:
1 A1 A1
2 A1 A2
3 A1 B2
4 A1 B1
It seems that it's the "common standard re-arraying pattern " but we don't follow this pattern ...
What is strange in this behaviour is that in the description of the complete 384-wells plate, the small images
correspond to my mapping, not to this common standard.
How can I change this well mapping format easily? Without upgrading completely our BASE 1.2.16 installation?
I know that this is described in the file plate.inc.php but I'm not so friendly with php ... so it would be kind
if somebody could give me exactly what to change in this file.
