Hi Rowan, Are you using MySQL version 5.x ? Do you also get a half-empty page in the "Experiment Explorer"? (no colourful summary of ratios?)
I found this same problem (note that BASE 1.2.x is not officially supported under MySQL version 5) and fortunately came up with a solution which seems to be stable.
