Well, my bug-ridden patched baseftpd-thru-ssh-tunnels didn't sound so
tempting... :-)

So with a fresh brain and a very helpful comment from the online PHP manual I
managed to fixed the bug!  At some point I'll make it available, but in the
meantime, just ask if you want to try it and I will send the code.


comments on your experience with SSL/HTTPS still gratefully received.
