Hi all, I just upgraded to the latest 2.9-stable. No problems except that on quick inspection ("show create table Experiments" I thought my db was already utf-8, when in reality it still needed the onetime-fix script to be applied). Maybe the installation instructions should say that there is no harm in running the script if you are not sure that you need it.
Anyway... back to http://base.thep.lu.se/ticket/1112 As an admin user, I created a new project, set the sampling and extraction default protocols. Then I ran the BioSource bulk importer - no probs. Then the Sample importer - no probs, all biosources linked to samples as expected. I was hoping from ticket 1112 that the project default sampling protocol would be attached to the samples, but unfortunately it did not seem to assign any protocol at all. When I click the "new sample" button on the biosource page, I get the dialogue with the "-recently used-" protocol already selected. In this case it is not the project default that I want. (Same behaviour with the (+) button on the biosource list view.) In summary, either I'm doing something wrong, or this functionality isn't working properly yet. The workaround is for me to add the protocols to the bulk import text file(s), but I was hoping not to have to do this. regards, Bob. -- Bob MacCallum | VectorBase Developer | Kafatos/Christophides Groups | Division of Cell and Molecular Biology | Imperial College London | Phone +442075941945 | Email r.maccal...@imperial.ac.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ The BASE general discussion mailing list basedb-users@lists.sourceforge.net unsubscribe: send a mail with subject "unsubscribe" to basedb-users-requ...@lists.sourceforge.net
