I am by no means any kind of power user when it comes to JDKs, but if
you'll entertain an anecdote:
I have read in many places that unless your Java is written specifically to
take advantage of Oracle's JVM, then you're
fine to use OpenJDK (or Azul, or Amazon's offering, or ___).

But others will almost certainly know better :)
