Meeting 784   August 1, 2005   Trey Haddad, President Nathan Slurm-r & Chris Garcia, Vice-President Dave Gallaher, Treasurer Galen Tripp, Sergeant at Arms Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary   Began at 8:01 pm   8 people attended   Secretary’s report: the minutes of meeting 783 were accepted as ‘Fashionably Late’   Treasurer’s report:  Treasurer not present.   VP reports = pre-eminent VP, and acting President Nathan reported that the important people were in the room.   The President was not present.   Announcements: Dave Clark announced that World Con is next weekend.   Galen announced that the Silicon E-mail address is bouncing his E-mail from Comcast.   Reviews: Dave Clark reviewed that his Comcast lineup included Turner Classic Movie channel and he watched ‘The Thin Man’ Marathon and found the shows in black and white better than anything in color on other channels.   Galen followed on that ‘The Thin Man’ is to be released on DVD this Tuesday.   Julie said that she still had not seen the movie ‘Sideways’   There were no auction items.   We adjourned at 8:24pm   The rumor of the week is that ‘Next week’s meeting will be shorter’.
