Reviews:
Andy reviewed makingfriends.com [an animated shorts site] as - you must
watch the cartoons & he reviewed the Original Pancake House clam
pancakes as surprisingly good & worth full price [ewwww!]
Ed reviewed ‘Ghost’ by John Ringo as just barely sf [barely future Navy
Seal life] as a fun read with kinky sex - worth full price
I reviewed ‘Doom’ as surprisingly fun & not too bad; worth matinee;
there were various comments of disbelief & Trey reviewed ‘Doom’ as the
characters were charismatic enough to hold the screen, the special
effects were pretty seamless & the plot was predictable - worth bargain
matinee
Julie reviewed a book, ‘How to Make Anything’ that sounded real nifty -
about fabrication technology and a book that makes you think - as well
worth reading
Chris reviewed viewing German burlesque as weird and bizarre and worth
having a friend bring with them from Germany to see on a Saturday night
[there were comments]
Kevin R reviewed ‘Wallace & Gromit’ as worth full price & he howled out
loud several times while watching it & he reviewed the Masterpiece
Theatre ‘Case of the Silk Stockings’ with Rupert Everett as interesting,
but there were some glitches; then Kevin reviewed the Stargate’s first
use as a portal [and the computer video file of this was nifty]
We auctioned off stuff for = 2 magazines = $10.00; then books for $0.25,
$0.25; $0.75; $0.25 & $2.00
We adjourned at = 9:21 pm
And the rumor of the week was ‘Clams got pancakes!’
