fyi ... Kim Stanley Robinson will be speaking at Books Inc (301 Castro Street in Mountain View) at 7:30 pm this Friday night, June 4. He will be talking about his new book, Forty Signs of Rain "the first of an exciting new trilogy set in the near future, in which science and ethics reach the boiling point in Washington, D.C." No mention of a Mars connection with this book, but possibly interesting nonetheless.
