Thanks to Barbara for posting the BASFA minutes.

We have booked the Stevens Creek Round Table through Labor Day weekend. As
previously announced, next Monday, August 9, we will vote between the three
finalists for a permanent location, with a goal of relocated effective
September 13.

The ballot will list the candidates thusly:

STEVENS CREEK BLVD Round Table Pizza, San Jose

NEWARK SQUARE Round Table Pizza, Newark

PRUNEYARD/CAMPBELL Original Hick'ry Pit, Campbell

NONE OF THE ABOVE

If you think that none of the finalists are suitable, that we haven't taken
enough time or investigated enough possibilities, then you should vote for None
of the Above. If NOTA wins, then we'll abandon all of the finalists and start
the site selection process over again.

A candidate must receive a majority of votes cast to win, so we'll use a
preferential ballot, where you mark a 1 by the candidate you want to win, a 2
by the candidate you would select if your first choice wasn't on the ballot,
and so on. This saves us having to go through multiple rounds of balloting if
nobody has a majority, which is common when there are more than two choices.
You need not fill out all of the spaces on the ballot. If you get to a point
where you don't care about the remaining candidates, leave the remaining
candidates blank. If you just mark a single X and leave the other candidates
blank, that counts as a "1" for the marked candidate with no other preferences.

Note on Naming: "Newark Square" is the name of the shopping center at Thornton
& Cedar where the Round Table in Newark is located. I've labeled the two round
tables "Stevens Creek Blvd" and "Newark Square" this way to try and more easily
differentiate them. As the President's request, I therefore labeled the
Hick'ry Pit by its approximate location (near the Pruneyard in Campbell) so
that the primary identification of each site was by location, not brand name.

Incidentally, in case it wasn't clear earlier: The Stevens Creek and Newark
Square Round Table pizzas are not under the same management; they are different
independent RTP franchisees. Neither of them are part of the Tavern 190 group
that owns the Saratoga/Moorpark location. It appears that Stevens Creek is a
standalone franchise, while Newark Square is part of another franchise group
that runs other RTPs in the Newark-Fremont-Union City area. Comcast Cable
subscribers in southern Alameda County may have seen their narrowcast ads --
the footage appears to have been shot at the Newark Square location, and one of
the people sitting at the table in the large shots is the manager of that
location.
