Swissnex: From Fiction to Science - Science & Fiction Symposium
September 29 - October 2, 2004
(FREE Conference!!!) San Francisco

Once considered a minor cultural subgenre, science-fiction has much more ties to reality and actual science than one might think. On the course of a four-day program, swissnex will explore the fruitful relationship and mutual influence of science and fiction, of hard fact and imagination.

Around four thrilling topics, a broad and colorful congregation of Swiss and American scientists, science-fiction writers, and astronauts will gather in San Francisco to delight the audience with insightful and entertaining evening talks.

The exhibition "Science Fiction - Technology Fact", on loan from the House of Elsewhere, Yverdon, Switzerland, will be on display throughout the symposium.
