Dave C announced there's a new Cargo Cult flyer & that Shatner has a new
album out called 'Has Been'
Reviews:
I reviewed 'Shaun of the Dead' as the best zombie movie ever, worth full
price; Eli follow-on'd that he's seen it twice & it's the first romantic
zombie comedy he's seen & it's a very good movie - worth full price.
Eli also reviewed 'Has Been' as one of Shatner's better works, musically
perhaps his best, eclectic, worth used CD price & reviewed Eggers'
"Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" as the book is great, worth
trade pb
Ed reviewed Nome, Alaska as there's 'no place like Nome' [he paid for
the pun] & there's lots of wet terrain there & he liked it - but won't
go back - as worth bargain basement air fare there
Dave C reviewed the 'Venture Brothers' on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network
[Saturday nights at 11-ish] as it's like 'Johnny Quest gone horribly
wrong' & parodied everything imaginable & he recommends it whole-heartedly.
Trey reviewed James Alan Gardner's 'Radiant' [one of his League of
Peoples novels] as it was extremely good; he recommends it & thinks it's
worth full trade pb price
We auctioned off stuff with Cheryl acting as auctioneer = a box with a
handle for $3.00; a big cardboard box of filk tapes for $1.50; a box of
Knights of the Dinner Table for $7.00; a Disney book for $3.50; more
books for $3.00; some adult Peter Pan for $4.00; even more books for
$3.00 & a box of comic-y thing for $4.00
