This afternoon, Bill and I went to see two movies. It wasn't a classic
double feature, in that we had to pay for each movie separately, but it
was the same movie theater on the same afternoon.
Shark Tale
The latest Pixar/Disney release. Worth matinee, second run, or
discounted VHS or DVD price. It's fun, cute, and very cliche. Costuming
as some of the characters is going to be a challenge since some of the
fins on the fish characters were very sheer. How to make the
proportions work correctly is going to be the real costuming challenge
- especially for the two female characters.
Shaun of the Dead
Fun send up of the classic zombie and romantic comedy movies.
Definitely worth full price, and it'll probably be even more fun if you
can see it as a late-night or midnight showing. The lead character is
someone who people will be readily able to associate with. Costuming is
not a challenge, really, since the characters are wearing street
clothes with makeup.
Warning: While the violence in this film is appropriate for the film,
it does have one explicit gruesome scene that can be a bit much for
some people's taste. Don't eat a big meal before seeing this movie.
Again, a very worthwhile film to see. I highly recommend it.
Until later--
