Treasurers report: last week we took in $39.75
no VP report
The President reported that he was not feeling incoherent enough for
public office
Announcements:
Dave G announced that Dave C is sick but relayed that from Nov 17-23
there will be a Godzilla fest at the Castro Theatre in SF & says the
Tiger Lillies will play on Wednesday in SF at the Geat American Music Hall
Kevin announced SFSFC is holding its board meeting this Saturday at the
Fremont train station meeting room at 10am and they'd like to elect officers
Reviews:
Kevin reviewed Orycon as a lot had changed in the last few years and
they had a (MHO) nifty style of badge, there were lots of costumes and
gaming & he wasn't sure if it was worth full price, including hotel
costs.- and he expected more of the con; Cheryl follow-on'd that many of
the program items looked tired
Cheryl reviewed Novacon as smaller than Orycon and rather pleasant &
that the GoHs for Eastercon were announced there
Eric reviewed 'The Incredibles' and thought it aptly named; pretty
standard Pixar animation & rates it as worth seeing twice at full price;
Dave G follow-on'd that he saw it on an IMAX screen and thought it was
awesome & worth seeing more than once
We auctioned off a few books for $1.50
We adjourned at = 8:56 pm
And the rumor of the week was that Keven will play Mr. Incredible in
the Disney musical'
