Folks:

If you are interested in learning more about running conventions, then I suggest that you come to "Conventional Wisdom", being held March 5-6, 2005, at the San Jose DoubleTree. Visit our web site at http://spfii.org/wisdom/.

The conference is the next step in the evolution of a curriculum that I began over a decade ago as the "BayCon College", moved forward as "ConStruction", and is now part of the "Conventional Wisdom Boot Camp."

An outline of the conference topics is posted on the website. We'll be running from 9:00am until 10:00pm (or so) on Saturday, and from 9:00am until about 6:00pm on Sunday. And yes, we'll be taking breaks for meals.

More than one convention has been launched as a result of people attending one of my conferences. The most recent start-up is Conjecture in San Diego, which just held it's third convention, and has scheduled Conjecture 4. (I was at the Conjecture staff meeting in San Diego last Saturday, and several staff members registered for Conventional Wisdom, in part because of the strength of the recommendation of the current Chairman and executive staff.)

Memberships are $30 until February 1st, 2005, and will be $40 afterwards. We're going to limit attendance to 30, so that we can give you the best experience possible.

I'll be at BASFA next Monday with flyers and registration forms.

Regards,
Michael
