Secretary’s report: the minutes for meeting 748 were accepted as ‘silly'
Treasurer’s report: [by proxy] last week we took in $8.65
The VP reported that she had fun at Loscon and that there were good parties
The President [finished eating dinner while the minutes were read] &
reminded us that Further Confusion will be at the Doubletree, Jan 14-17
The Party Committee (Nathan) reported that Alison is trying to get a
BASFA party organized for Baycon - and volunteers are appreciated

Chris announced he's compiling all the SF books for the Hemet public
library (you can give suggestions at www.garciacomputerhistory.org)
Mike announced the Firefly fan group is meeting again at KD Bloom, 2pm

Jim announced that Wessex Books in Menlo Park is having a sale, starting
today and running thru Dec 19
Kevin announced that he's going to SMOFcon in Washington, DC this
weekend & that he hopes for a lack of snow there. He also announced that
Frank Wu will be GoH at Consecration & that there are new Emerald Cities

engrossing, very well done & worth full click
Joanie reviewed the travelling version of the 'Producers' as the
lighting was absolutely fabulous and worth being taken to
Ed reviewed Gingrich & Fortune's 2nd alternate history, 'Grant Goes
East' as very well thought out
Kevin reviewed a new Turtledove book, "Days of Infamy' as well written,
looks like it's starting a new series - worth the price he paid for it &
he reviewed an Elton John concert on Bravo as worth seeking out
We auctioned off books for $1.75, $0.25 & $6.00
We adjourned at = 9:00 pm
And the rumor of the week was ‘BASFA's president is a slug - but he's a
sweet slug'
