Began at   8:05 pm - with Nathan Slemmer being volunteered as acting Secretary

Secretary’s report:  last week's minutes were accepted as ‘We’ve done that before.’

 

Treasurer’s report:  that last week we took in money and there are goodies being passed around.

 

The VP was not here yet.

 

The President was missing (presumed going to Southern California).

 

Announcements:

    Kevin announced that he would not be attending the meeting next week, and that he was going to take the Costal Train to OR.

   

    Nathan announced that there are a couple of up-coming Toy shows:

Reviews:

 

Julie reviewed Biography of Charles Dickens as “Absolutely Bad, the worst book ever written!” it starts out (once upon a time…).

 

Alan Dean Foster’s book “Lost and Found” was reviewed as good for a 13 year old in a waiting room and worth Library.

 

Mike reviewed No Name Anime Club meeting as he won a Multi Disk DVD and it was worth full price.

 

A Review of a Review of The Thackery T Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric & Discredited Diseases by Christopher Priest who said that there is nothing funny about disease!  Many followed-on that there were indeed many funny Discredited Diseases.

 

Frank followed on that he would like to see a guide to Evolutionary (Xeno) Phrenology.

 

     Dave reviewed KALX was going on about how the PABA website had been hacked and that PABA were boycotting “Skinny Puppy”.

 

There was a follow-on that PABA is known by the State to increase the risk of Cancer.

 

     Dave G reviewed the SFSFC meeting as “Short and Efficient” lasting only 6 minutes and having re-elected all of the same officers for another year.

 

Alison followed-on that the party was great fun and worth full price!

 

Nathan reviewed “The Legend of Earthsea” SciFi mini series as worth watching on cable.

 

We auctioned off a few books.

 

We adjourned at = 8:58 pm

 

And the rumor of the week was ‘Nathan will have a hard time reading his own notes!’
