Subject: [CJ02-General] Frank Kelly Freas 1921-2005
It saddens me to inform you that Master Artist Frank Kelly Freas died
yesterday, January 1, in Southern California. Some of his best known
work was the creation of Alfred E. Newman for MAD MAGAZINE and the
Martian in the Keyhole. Kelly is survived by his wife, Laura; his
daughter, Jackie; and his son. A memorial service will be held for him.
I'm sorry, I have no further details. I'm sure the ASFA, SFWA, and
LASFS websites will have more information soon.
