Reviews:
Dave G reviewed the 'One Ring Celebration' as a different sort of
CreationCon & that it had panels [in association with theonering.net, a

theonering.net. All 4 hobbits were there, as well as John Rhys Davies &
it was fun
Mike Mclaughlin reviewed the 'Edge Chronicles' by Stewart & Riddell as
fun stories & he was very impressed with them & the artwork therein
Kevin reviewed Firesign Theatre's 'Big Broadcast of 2005' as he felt it
was worth going up to Oregon and paying full price [there will be a
performance at the Heritage Theatre in Campbell this Thursday)
Mike Miyake commented 'if John Rhys Davies is the only headliner in a
movie it has to be a SciFi channel original' & he reviewed 'Point
Pleasant' as hellish fun
Frank announced that Walter Ernsting [aka Clark Darlton], one of the
co-founders of the Perry Rhodan series, had just passed away - and he
announced that Adam Hochschild [author of 'King Leopold's Ghost'] will
be at Keplers Thursday at 7:30 & that he & Alison will be there
We auctioned off stuff = a Frascape DVD for $6.50; 3 calendars for
$1.00, $1.00 & 3.00 & 2 tank models for .75
We adjourned at = 9:09 pm
And the rumor of the week was ‘Frank Wu lives live to the fullest, with
extra bacon'
[then we did the last batch of Hugo nomination recommendations]
