Reviews:
Dave G reviewed getting sent to Texas for international training & related tales of visiting that republic. He thought Dallas was better than Houston & okay as long as all your papers are in order - worth full price since his employer paid for all of it

Nathan had the unfortunate experience of seeing & reviewing a rental DVD of 'The Stepford Wives'; said it had a different ending from the original & was not worth renting

Cheryl reviewed South Korea as speaking better English than Texas, thought Seoul was claustrophobic & knew how to make you feel welcome. Many Seoul-full comments were made. And she would gladly go back if business took her there.

Dave C reviewed Gallifrey in SoCal [the 16th Gallifrey 1) - that the theme was pirates & that this peculiar convention was odder than usual

I reviewed 'Constantine' as worth seeing a 3rd time & still worth matinee.

Julie reviewed a site called 'the Leaky Cauldron' [a Harry Potter fansite] that she has been spending a lot of time on it & rates it as 'well, I'm addicted to it'

Peter reviewed 'The Aviator' as jolly good & worth full price

CorFlu was reviewed: Cheryl said it seemed very well attended & was an international gathering & they made her feel welcome [her badge read 'the Anitchrist'] & they did a good con suite; Peter said he was swept up in the fervor of the convention - spent a lot of time in the bar - and had a wonderful time; Bill also had a wonderful time & met some really nice people; Frank mentioned he did a cute joke on Dick Lupoff that cost him $30.00 - but it may rekindle interest in Lupoff's fanzine; that Kevin was a program participant [on one of the 6 programs for the con] and thought it was worth the trip up there

Frank Wu then bought BASFA memberships for both Peter and Bill!

Peter reviewed the SJ Tech museum as that the place is fantastic & a museum volunteer [Tim] showed him an example of the Babbage engine

We then birthday-auctioned off Julie Porter for $3.00 to me

We adjourned at = 9:40 pm

And the rumor of the week was that ‘Emerald City has Seoul'
