Cheryl announced that Robogames will be held in San Francisco over
the Easter weekend
Julie announced that Nasa Ames' 'Contact' is this weekend
Dave C announced that Neil Gaiman has an auction on Ebay & announced
[with help] that 'Atlanta Nights' is eligible for a Hugo 'best novel'
Reviews:
Kevin reviewed his sleep testing as he 'survived with only minor
injuries', he was fully wired up & the experiences was 'sort of'
interesting but he hopes he never has to do it again & rates it as not
worth the co-pay
Frank reviewed the SciFi Summit in Pasadena where he helped out the guy
next to Spring (as well as Spring) and was paid in production cells - so
he enjoyed it - as worth full price [in sweat equity]
Eric reviewed 'Robots' as yet another CGI movie & Robin Williams sounded
like he had too much fun; the movie took shots at popular culture and he
thought it was worth high matinee price
The trailer for 'Revenge of the Sith' was discussed and the horror that
was 'ewok' was mentioned and spoken ill of as we went on about it for a
while
We adjourned at = 9:04 pm
And the rumor of the week was that ‘Willow is a shaved ewok and Han Solo
is a shaved wookie'
