A President report [via Dave G] was that Michael Wallis becomes a married man this last weekend - and that he sent us a long distance 'hi'

Announcements:

Dave C announced that Norwescon will be this next weekend in Seattle & Kevin hijacked Dave's announcement to mention that this weekend will see the last convention in the old Portland Doubletree [the con is Gamestorm]

Ed announced that he bought a new laptop

Reviews:
Ed reviewed his new laptop as it works really well and runs 'Axis and Allies' well [Oooo pretty colors!] - & that he's also been enjoying 'Halo'. He also reviewed 'Robots' as great & worth full price

Dave G reviewed Wallis's wedding as . . . interesting

Cheryl reviewed Welsh rugby as 'the Red Dragon has conquered all' & she reviewed ICFA as great if you like hanging out around the pool with academic authors, as she had a marvellous weekend - that the Crawford award was won by Steph Swainston [her book = 'The Year of Our War'] & she brought swag to auction

Dave G reviewed [as Julie Porter, by proxy] Julie's trip home last Monday as 'overly eventful' - in that she had a traffic too-close encounter with road debris that harmed her car - as it did several other cars [& she was uninjured]

Kevin reviewed 'Locomotion' as an incredible time sink, very much worth full price

Dave C reviewed 'Robots' as the plot is, condensed, 'our leaders are trying to kill us' - go see it & it's worth matinee

Art reviewed an article = '13 Things that Don't Make Sense' as worth reading

Eric reviewed our Congress at work [on Sunday] as a horror show

We auctioned off mostly books for: $1; $1; $0.25 & $0.25

We adjourned at = 9:21 pm in memory of Andre Norton

And the rumor of the week was that ‘if all science fiction writers were family, would you let one marry your sister?'
