Yuri’s Night kicks off with the Bay Area Space Summit – an interactive discussion featuring representatives from Bay Area space advocacy organizations. Find out what’s happening, meet other space advocates or share your plans & ideas!

Yuri’s Night guests attending the V.I.P. reception will get a special sneak-peek at an actual Soviet Soyuz space capsule being restored by Chabot for their upcoming exhibit. The V.I.P. Reception will also feature a discussion by Astrobiologist Loretta Hidalgo, who was featured in James Cameron’s recent IMAX adventure, “Aliens of the Deep.”

* Event co-sponsored by the National Space Society and the Mars Society

* Music, sound & lighting provided by the Space Cowboys

WHY:

All proceeds benefit the education & youth outreach programs of Bay Area space advocacy groups, as well as Chabot’s upcoming exhibit on human spaceflight.
