Treasurer's report = last week we took in $35.00 in the standard jar &
$10.25 in the party jar

The President reported 'I continue to remain clueless'
Announcements:
Dave C announced there is a new Cargo Cult flier & that ‘The Believers’
literary magazine has an interview with China Meiville & that he, Dave,
is changing his email addy to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
<Kevin is choking> Kevin announced he has the latest issue of Instant
Messenger & announced he has been working way too much
Dave G announced that the latest Vinticon will be Oct 14-16 & that he
will be going to the 7pm showing of ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide’ this Friday in
Union City [Century Cinemas]
Chris announced he has a review in the latest issue of ‘Other’ magazine
& is also doing a ‘Hitchhiker’s outing at 9:10 this Friday at the
Century 22 cinema
Reviews:
Julie reviewed ‘Olympic Games’ by Leslie What as she thought it quite
funny & highly recommends it
Chris reviewed Bonfonte Gardens as the trees looked really great & is
worth being taken to & buying his host lunch; Kevin follow-on’d that he
thought it was worth full price; Chris also reviewed’Some Fantastic’, an
East Coast fanzine as it has a really great Harry Potter article about
their caste system in the Spring 2005 issue & also reviewed Howard
Hendricks ‘Labyrinth Key’ as a great little book
Dave G reviewed the ‘Sideways’ DVD as ‘it has adults in it’ & thought it
worth the Costco price, recommending it; then Chris follow-on’d that it
is a fantastic movie & Dave C mentioned the flick has driven merlot
sales down
Kevin reviewed Calgary as a very lovely city & a great Westercon city &
worth the trip
Trey reviewed Freer & Flint’s ‘Rats, Bats & the Ugly’ as amusing and
worth reading
We auctioned off = books for $1.25 & $0.25
We adjourned at = 9:08 pm
And the rumor of the week was ‘Philcon 60 – San Jose 11’
