Reviews:
Kevin R reviewed the Costume Con photo archives as when he did this, he
found gems and encouraged people to go view them at
www.costume-con.org/gallery2

Chris reviewed another ‘best thing ever’ = the Psychotronic Film
Festival as he enjoyed some of the worst music videos ever made - that
it was a great event - worth $5.00 plus the $10.00 he spent at Denny’s
and other costs besides; Dave C follow-on’d that Chris is impulsively
generous

Doug reviewed ‘Life as we Do Not Know It’ as a fascinating and hopeful
read & he recommends it

Cheryl reviewed Australian state cricket championships as her team
[Victoria] did not do well & there were cricket follow-ons, some of
which were not puns

Julie reviewed the Legion of Rasselon meeting as that she saw ‘The
Quartermass Experiment’ there and thought it was a lot of fun & is out
on DVD and is well worth watching

I reviewed ‘V for Vendetta’ as excellent, worth watching twice and
bringing along friends both times just for Hugo Weaving’s performance &
really enjoyed it; Kirsten follow-on’d with a query that Dave G answered
= that it’s amazing to watch on the Dublin IMAX & Hugo Weaving’s
performance was Oscar-worthy; ‘evil Kevin’ follow-on’d that Stephen Fry
doing a Benny Hill send-up was great; Doug follow-on’d that religious
extremists are up in arms about the film; Fred reviewed it as the
adaptation was not as good as the graphic novel; Andy follow-on’d that
he saw the move & read the graphic novel on the same day & enjoyed both
for different reasons, but the novel was more intentionally vague & Trey
follow-on’d that he enjoyed the film, but wished it had included at
least 2 more of V’s speeches from the graphic novel

Dave C reviewed ‘Slings and Arrows’ [as seen on the Sundance channel] as
. . . insance & strange [and there were follow-ons about the channel]

We birthday auctioned off Julie for $4.00 to me; then auctioned off
books for = $5.00; $3.00 [for Chris]; $4.00; $1.25; $0.75; $0.50 & $1.50

We adjourned at = 9:27 pm

And the rumor of the week was = ‘Chris was a member of the Gorgeous
Ladies of Wrestling in a former life’
