Quicktime 7.0.4 was workin' just fine when I got the alert for QT 7.1--faster, more secure, able to leap tall buildings. I installed it and it didn't work at all--doesn't even show up in "add or remove programs" like QT 7.0.4 did (because it was in effect more a diskfiller than a program?). I can't re-install 7.0.4 until I remove all traces of 7.1. Apple tech support put me onto specific QT components to remove, but there were clearly others that the 7.0.4 installer identified as 7.1 and prevented installation of the earlier version. Does anyone have any ideas or fresh perspectives? Thanks.
